The Nduruma Polo Club was founded in 1995 and remains the only polo club in Tanzania. What started out as a small group of people getting together to play a few chukkas a week, soon grew into a family-friendly members club and the hub of the local community. An iconic clubhouse with swimming pool situated next to an international size polo field, with spectacular views of Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru, provides an unique and beautiful setting for polo in Tanzania. Surrounded by African bush where wildlife roams free, there are not many more breathtaking destinations to enjoy a game of polo.

The polo season runs from mid-June to mid-March and polo is played ever Wednesday and Saturday afternoon as well as Sunday mornings. Players of all abilities are encouraged to take part as we strive to develop the sport in Tanzania. Horse hire and polo lessons are available from the club’s stables.

For the less-horsey folks, social field hockey is played every Wednesday afternoon followed by a not-to-be-missed club night.
